The picture shows the stem remove from the carrier body. This is only to help you to identify the part. The part that ships out, is complete and does not have the stem removed. Remove your part and match up exactly to the picture. To remove the stem, remove the bottom of the carrier body and push the stem rod from the bottom and push up. This will release the stem from the gear. I used a nail set tool to remove the stem. Carriers measures 1 3/4 wide. The stem measures 1 3/4" and the gear measures 5/8" tall.
